David W. Wilcox, 70, of Tunkhannock died Friday, December 15th at Geisinger CMC in Scranton, PA. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Virginia Branning Wilcox.
He was born on December 9, 1947 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, son of the late Edgar and Florence Shook Wilcox.
He graduated from Tunkhannock Area High School, Class of 1965, worked for Airline Petroleum and owned a carpentry business, doing beautiful work.
He loved camping, NASCAR, dirt track racing, attending sporting events of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, mowing lawn, tinkering around the house and his beloved boxer, Biscuit. He had a great sense of humor and was a loving husband, father, grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Wilcox, who passed away on November 25, 2017.
He is survived by his son Dwayne and wife Christine Wilcox, of Old Forge, daughter Dona and husband Mark Bogdan, of Tunkhannock, brothers Edgar Jr., Francis and Glendale, all of Tunkhannock, 6 grandchildren Scott Wilcox, Kimberly Southworth, Dylan Wilcox, Alyssa Wilcox, Jarrett Jervis, and David Jervis, 5 Great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 18th at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 West Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Pastor Rick Womer Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery Tunkhannock.
