David Allen Rought

David Allen Rought, 61, of Tunkhannock passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Tammy Rought.

Born on January 16, 1962 in Kingston, he was the son of the late Donald and Gloria Schoonover Rought.

David was a graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School, class of 1980 and a member of the Centermoreland United Methodist Church.

He started his career at Procter and Gamble where he worked diligently for 36 years. Known to be an easy-going individual, David loved to talk to anyone he met and always had a good joke to share.

David enjoyed hunting and fishing in his leisure time. Moreover, he was known for being an excellent "girl dad" who always put his daughters first.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Justine and Janelle; sisters, Nancy Jones and husband Doug, Donna Westfield, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Meggie Lee Rought; brothers, Timothy Rought, Tommy Andrew Rought and Kenny Baker.

David will be remembered by all as a friendly man with a great sense of humor who lived life to the fullest. Him and his smile will be missed by everyone who knew him well.

Family and friends are invited to attend David's memorial service which will be held on Sunday May 7, 2023 at 4:00 PM from the Centermoreland United Methodist Church, 17 Creamery Road Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Reverend Harold Schorr presiding.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of service on Sunday.
