Craig Head

Craig C. Head, 91, of Meshoppen passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Sayre Healthcare. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bette Head.

Born on December 25, 1931 in Kearny, New Jersey, he is the son of the late William F. and Ethyl (Krough) Head.

He was a 1950 graduate of Kearny High School and joined the US Marine Corps in 1952, serving his country proudly in the Korean War. After military service he joined the Plumber Local Union #24 and completed his apprenticeship becoming a plumber in 1956. In 40 years of service with the union Craig held numerous positions including executive board, vice president, and business agent. Craig retired in 1996 and moved to Meshoppen, PA.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Craig Head and wife Eileen; granddaughters, Veronica and Natalie.

He is preceded in death by brothers, William and Neil Head.

Funeral services were held privately.
