Colleen Zdaniewicz, 57, of Falls, passed away on March 6th 2021 in Scranton after fighting a five and a half year battle with cancer.
Colleen was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania to John and Dorothy Jenkins on May 4th 1963. She graduated from Tunkhannock Area High School in 1981. Colleen and her husband, Ben, worked on their family farm for over 40 years. She was a huge part of the last operating dairy farm in Falls Township. She did everything from accounting, to raising calves, to milking cows and field work. Sunday dinners were her specialty for her children and grandchildren.
Meema enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and always had brownies, cookies and ice cream ready for their visits. Her two German shepherds, Rooster and Reno, were very special to her. At night when the work was done, she liked sitting on the back porch with her husband and dogs, enjoying the view of their farm.
Colleen is survived by her husband, Ben Zdaniewicz of Falls; daughters, Nicole Zdaniewicz and husband Brian Morris of Moosic, Theresa Tulaney and husband Sarkis, Covington Township, Courtney O'Hara and husband Chris, Factoryville; son, John Zdaniewicz, Falls; grandchildren, Benjamin and Megan Morris, Brooke Tulaney, and Natalie, Emma and Lena O'Hara, Reno, and mother Dorothy Jenkins of Clifford.
She is preceded in death by father, John Jenkins; brother, Keith Jenkins and Rooster.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr Martin Hyzinski and his staff.
