Clara F. Rifenbery

Clara Florida Rifenbery, 99, of Monroe Township passed away Sunday January 10, 2021 at Star Hill Rest Home. She was preceded in death by her husband William Rifenbery on August 23, 2000. Born in Monroe Township on November 16, 1921 she was the daughter of the late William and Clara Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Lewis and husband Edward of Sarasota, FL; daughter-in-law, Pat Rifenbery of Auburn Center; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Rifenbery; daughter Wilma Hopfer and husband Gary. Clara was a member of The Beaumont Union Gospel Church. She worked as a presser in several local dress factories until her retirement. Known to many as Mom, Gram, Great Grandma, Aunt Clara or Clara, she was a special lady, who touched everyone who knew her. Family and friends are invited to attend Clara’s funeral service which will be held on Wednesday January 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Pastor Jerry Mattocks presiding. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
