Charles C. Kerlin Charles C. Kerlin of Falls died Friday evening in the Mercy Hospital in Scranton. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Dorothy Hunter Kerlin. He was born in Chestertown, Pa. on August 15, 1913 son of the late Edgar and Sara Miller Kerlin. He was a graduate of Berkley Springs High School Class of 1931. An Army veteran of WW2, serving in the European Theater in the Field Artillery and received the European Victory Metal. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the United States Postal Department and was appointed Post Master of the Falls Post office in 1965. He and his wife Dorothy operated Hunter’s Orchard in Falls for several years. He was member of the Tunkhannock Presbyterian Church. Surviving is a daughter Joanne Dean of Pompano Beach Fla., sisters Emily Lunger of Falls, Ruth Shank of Hagerstown, Md., grandchildren Kathy Mekilo of Taylor, Jeffrey Northup of Dalton, great grandchildren Joseph Michael and Lauren Ann Mekilo, Blake Wellington Northup. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock with the Rev. Kenneth Trexeler , Pastor of the Tunkhannock Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 7.
