Barbara Potuck, 60, of Mehoopany passed away Saturday July 17, 2021 at Allied Hospice Center, Scranton after a long and courageous fight with cancer. She was the loving wife of Frank Potuck and proud mother of two children.
Born in Meshoppen on October 20, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Carleton Henning and is survived by her mother Margaret Thompson and father Robert Thompson.
After retiring from Procter and Gamble, Mehoopany after 37.5 years of service, Barb enjoyed spending her time in the outdoors feeding and nurturing the wildlife, gardening, fishing, kayaking, and camping in the 1000 Islands. Everyone around her knew her as an exceptional painter, seamstress, and baker.
Barb loved all animals, especially her cats, chickens, and duck. Barb valued her family, friends, and enjoyed the simplest pleasures in life.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her son Nathan Carey and girlfriend Stephanie Hill of Springville; daughter Natasha Carey and fiancé Eric Radishofski of Overland Park, KS; sons Brent and Justin Potuck; sister Wendy Layaou of Mehoopany; brother Bill Henning and wife of Mehoopany; brother Stephen Henning and wife of Mehoopany; brother Jim Henning and husband of Columbia, PA.
Family and friends are invited to attend Barbara’s graveside service which will be held on Friday July 23, 2021 at 10:00AM from Vaughn Cemetery, Mehoopany celebrated by Pastor Charles Bishop.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barb’s honor to the HealthWell Foundation or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
