Aretta Kinney

Aretta A. Kinney, 75, of Meshoppen passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Kinney.

Born in Falls on July 2, 1947. She is the daughter of the late George and Jennie Strumpski Billings. She was a graduate of Falls-Overfield.

She enjoyed gardening, diamond art, baking, and cross stitching. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She worked at the Bluebird Diner.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Jennifer Kinney, and Tim Schell; son, Charles Kinney and wife Stephanie; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Donald James Kinney and sister, Dorothy Billings Bush.

Family and friends are invited to attend Aretta's celebration of life service which will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 11:00am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Deacon Raymond Pieretti presiding. Interment will follow in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
