Arden Carmon Robinson, 87, of Mehoopany passed away on Tuesday November 23, 2021 at Regional Hospital of Scranton. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Joan Marie Adams Robinson.
Born in Jenningsville on March 27, 1934 he was the son of the late Lewis and Mary Stevens Robinson. As a teenager, he worked for the Leigh Valley Railroad. He volunteered and enlisted in the US Army from 1954-1956 Combat Engineers. He was a Dairy Farmer with family on Jaynes Bend for 33 years, and was a member of Jenningsville Methodist Church He was a dairy farmer and attended the Pilgrim Holiness Church, Tunkhannock.
Carmon was an associate director of the Wyoming County Conservation District for 10 years. He was the Equestrian 4-H Leader for Wyoming County, an avid horseback rider. He rode his horses in many parades and participated in many horse shows and team penning at the Wyoming County Fair.
Carmon was proud to have voted in every election for 50 consecutive years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Melany Robinson; son, Scott Robinson and wife Susie; brothers, Lewis Robinson and wife Marilyn, John Robinson, Ira Robinson and wife Martha, Randy Robinson and wife Hyang; sisters, Barbara Smith and Rosemary Bellows; grandchildren, Amanda Robinson and partner Matthew Parsons, Kristina Clark and husband Matthew.
He was preceded in death by brother Allen Robinson; sister, Bernice Goodwin; Infant sister, Laura Lu.
Funeral services will be held privately with interment at Vaughn Cemetery, Mehoopany.
