Alice Williams

Alice M. Williams, 99, of Tunkhannock passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Embassy of Tunkhannock. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Gerald Williams in 2012.

Born on October 24, 1924, in Farmingdale, NY, she is the daughter of the late Arthur and Martha (Abramoske) White.

Alice was a 1941 graduate of Farmingdale High School in New York.

For 25 years, Alice volunteered at Tyler Memorial Hospital, where her kindness and compassion left a lasting impact on countless lives.

In her leisure time, Alice found joy in spending time with family and friends, enjoying nature and the great outdoors, bird watching, and creating beautiful ceramics. She was also a talented baker and graced many a holiday table with her fabulous pies.

Alice was a beloved member of St. Patrick's Church in Nicholson.

She is survived by her son, John Williams and wife Geraldine; grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Stacey and husband Matthew Sims; great-grandchild, Carter Sims, and various nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by daughter, Ruth Williams; brother, Robert White; sister, Frances Hunt.

Funeral services will be held privately. Interment will be held in Nicholson Cemetery.
