Alice Clark Lathrop

Alice Clark Lathrop of Springville died Wednesday in Gracious Living Estates Montrose. She was born on November 8, 1910 in Montela, NY daughter of the late Charles and Emily Blumenauer Clark. Alice was a graduate of Ellenville High School Class of 1928 and a 1931 graduate of Delhi Ag-Tech Teachers College and she taught school in the Delaware Valley School District, NY. She was a long time member of the Springville Baptist Church. Alice was preceded in death by her husband Bunnell Lathrop on September 7, 2001, brother William Floyd “Pat” Clark, sister Bertha Beheme, Edith Cox, Lena Hedsall. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Alice and her husband opened their home to the Teachout, Cochrane, Hamman, and Wooden families who resided with them for numerous years. Funeral and committal services will be held on Saturday at 11 am from the Springville Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Rosenau, Pastor of the Springville Baptist Church. Interment will be in Bunnell Cemetery, Auburn Twp. Friends may call at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 West Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA on Friday from 5 to 7 pm.
