Alice B. Case, 91, of Tunkhannock passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2009. She was born in Wyoming, PA. on September 14, 1917, daughter of the late Floyd and Bertha Dailey Dymond.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence J. Case, daughter Connie Washburn and son David Case. She is survived by brothers Joseph Dymond of Baltimore, and Herbert Dymond of Tunkhannock; daughter Suzanne Robinson of Tunkhannock; grandsons James Jenkins and wife Tammy, and Aaron Case; granddaughters Jennifer Jenkins Douthett and husband Scott, Brenda Hadlick and husband Steven, Toni Nagy, Jana Sawyer, and Calista Holt, as well as fourteen great-grandchildren.
Aliceâs family and friends were the delight of her life. You could ring her doorbell at anytime, and she always had time for a visit. She was never too busy for a game of Chinese checkers, a cup of tea or a chat about a magazine article sheâd just read that somehow always managed to relate to your life in a good way. She was amazing at remembering all the small details of her familyâs life, and was quick with a cheerful comment on how the latest hockey game, gymnastics meet or dance recital had turned out. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unconditionally, and was at her happiest when there was a small child with a book on her lap. It was a joy and comfort to her to know that she had created this family spread far and wide, but always at home in her heart. She was our ally in good times and our supporter in bad, and her generous heart and ever present smile will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 pm from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Interment Sunnyside Cemetery Tunkhannock. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 pm until the time of the service
