Alfred DeRemer

Alfred DeRemer Sr., of Tunkhannock died Saturday at his daughter’s home. Born in Dallas, PA on August 19, 1934 son of the late Louis and Mildred Cook DeRemer. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Alfred was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. His family was his life and he will be sadly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his sisters Doris Singer, Louise Berth, Ethel France, and brothers Lawrence, and Jim DeRemer. He is survived by his daughters Claudia Shoemaker and fiancé Don Root, of Tunkhannock, Angela Turner, of Tunkhannock and son Al and Joanna DeRemer, of Tunkhannock, Brother Wayne DeRemer, of Laceyville, and Sister Luella Dulsky, of Centermoreland, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday August 3 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a memorial service at 7:00 PM at his daughter’s home at 136 Oakwood Lake Terrace.
